A letter to Year 7, 8, 9 and 10 parents about our plans for the future
Dear Parent / Carer,
I extend a sincere ‘thank you’ to all our parents for the support that you have shown Eggbuckland throughout this academic year. It has been a year of change, in particular to our behavioural policy and the way that we structure and deliver lessons to our young people. Change brings its own challenges and I always appreciate the feedback from parents, whether this is letting us know that we haven’t got things quite right for your child or giving us some positive feedback about things we have done. Whatever the communication, honest feedback from parents and students is really important to us and supports our unbending belief that outstanding schools are a true partnership between the school, home and community.
I am intending to talk with all students about our plans for the 2019/2020 Academic year. To do this, assemblies have been planned for the 18th June and I am encouraging students to go home that evening and talk with their parents and carers about these proposed changes.
I do not expect any of our proposed changes to be controversial, however on Thursday 20th June the Leadership Team and other Senior Staff in the College will be available from 3:15pm through to 7pm should parents wish to talk with us. We will be based in the Boardwalk and refreshments will be available should you wish. It will be good to hear your views.
We are still looking for two parents to join our Trustee body. If you have a passion for education and want to join a team committed to offer our Eggbuckland Community an outstanding education please do not hesitate to contact Wendy Cavell (Chair of Trustees) on wcavell@eggbuckland.com. Wendy will be delighted to hear from you.
Yours faithfully,
Matthew Corrigan
Principal
